Each character's growth was definitely within their plans from the beginning and not just the result of going with the flow.There must always be one to bear the title of Kuroshiro Nova lest the Novaverse will collapse, however it still exists solely through KamiNova's will.KamiNova will sometimes take over the body of the current Nova, and speak through them to offer insights about the past, present and even what may come in the future.

She lived the life she was seemingly destined to, until one day she realized she was stuck on a road she never wanted to take, and try as she might, she could not leave it.
At the end of her rope, she tried to end her days. But instead of peace or nothingness, she opened her eyes to two strange worlds. It was “Kuro” and “Shiro” who saved her. And when they disappeared, she carried the name “Kuroshiro” as a wish and a promise: the wish to become better, and the promise to do better.TRAITS
Hopeful and naive, as any young soul.
A hard worker to the point of workaholism, low self-esteem prevented her from living up to her own high standards.
She never quite got rid of her people-pleasing tendency, so even when she tried to speak her mind, she tried to not offend anyone.
Later, she gained a bit more confidence, but also more bitterness.RELATIONSHIPS
She hero-worships Kuro and Shiro, seeing in them everything she wanted to be.
In contrast, she declares that she hates Shi's guts.
She has a younger brother, Brova, whom she adores and always talks about.HISTORY
Her adventure started from the wish to one day be more than an unwilling cog in Society's big wheel. When she watched others who inspired her and gave her hope, she thought "Maybe I can be that for someone too. Maybe dreams can come true."
Though she didn't expect to suddenly explode in popularity from the beginning, the first year was a miserable slog of learning the ropes and getting left in the dust of others' success.
She found a rhythm in the following two years, and growth started to pick up.
In the fourth year, reality and burnout caught up with her: the slow pace of the growth and the amount of effort needed to produce just this much were not sustainable. Becoming a protagonist was beyond her, and she resolved to finally retire and rest.
As the brave first Kuroshiro Nova, she leaves behind the legacy of becoming the most prominent Malagasy Vtuber.

- This is added to Nova's lore as a punishment after saying unpleasant things during a stream she was not supposed to: Brova was supposed to debut as a twin Vtuber to Nova, but after remembering she had confused a male zebu with a female one giving birth to a calf, he decided against it.

When Nova tried to end her life, a tiny part of her soul rebelled. It split from her, but it was still stuck in the same body. Nova's death meant its death, so it desperately tried to maintain her life and convinced Kuro and Shiro to save her.
This tiny shard of her soul grew into its own entity, but incapable of breaking free from her, resorted to taunting Nova every time she doubted herself. Finally set free once Nova retired, it decided to take on the name "Kuroshiro" as one last taunt to Nova, and tacked on the moniker "Nebula" because "Nebula is what's left after Nova."TRAITS
She seems determined to be Nova's opposite: brash, cynical and unapologetic. Whether this is her true nature or another jab towards Nova, only she knows, and maybe time will tell.
Despite this, one might find they share certain traits that prove they were originally the same person.RELATIONSHIPS
She doesn't care for "Kuro" nor "Shiro" beyond the fact they were able to maintain Nova alive when she still shared the same body as Nova.
While Nova ignored her very existence, she seems to have a twisted fixation on Nova.HISTORY
